Your Wedding Day!
Congratulations! So you’ve set your date! Now it’s time for planning your special day. The excitement, the coordinating, so much to do! Choosing your venue, flowers, wardrobe, décor, guest count, and bridal party details, etc. can be so overwhelming and joyous at the same time! When it comes to choosing a photographer, three things come to mind:
The first is to choose a style! As you glance through all those stunning photos online, take notice of the particular wedding photos that you love, the ones that represent the kind of photos you’d like to see for your own wedding day. Then look for photographers that shoot with the particular style that you’re looking for. Every photographer has their own style, so you’ll want to be happy with the style that you choose, one that will stand the test of time for years to come. Be careful of trends that may not stick around!
The next step is to consider your budget. Take a look at some pricing from your favorite photographers and narrow it down to the ones that fit your budget and your specific needs. One thing I’d like to add here is that one of the most important investments you’ll make for your wedding day is your photography/videography. After all is said and done, all the plans have been finalized, and you’ve celebrated your beautiful day, you’ll want to hold onto those memories forever! That’s where your photography/videography comes in. These are the memories that you’ll cherish for a lifetime, it’s a very important decision! We do provide hourly rates besides packages which are perfect for elopements and smaller weddings.
And third, contact and meet or video chat with your prospective photographer. It’s important that you’re in tune with them personality wise. Your photographer will be spending most of your day with you so you’ll want it to be someone who you’re in sync with. Then you’ll find that you’re more relaxed in front of the camera.
Another important aspect to consider is the time day for scheduling. One of the best times for photography is what is called the golden hour. A couple hours just before sunset or after sunrise. Here will give you flattering light for your photos, providing a lovely golden glow. Note that the kind of day will affect the photo style a bit as well. Sunny or cloudy days will give different types of ambiance. All will be beautiful!
We’ll work out a schedule with you and discuss a handful of meaningful moments to make sure you get the photos that are special to you. The rest will be natural shots throughout your day. After your memorable wedding, I’ll be editing your photos and staying in touch throughout the process. I give distinct individual attention to each of my couple’s photo collections during the editing process. It’s such an exciting time and we want to make your memories unforgettable!
